Teaching Mthods and their applicability in the class room

Ever since I joined a school for teaching English, I often ponder over the question: How should we apply the teaching methods of English in the class room and which one is the best approach.

Five months down the line all it come to mind is that it is only the teacher who combines all possible methods and invents his own get best possible results.

Pupils background and mental alertness plays and important role in the teaching learning process.
